How much does the Ear Syringing Service cost?
The cost for our Ear Syringing Service is £40 for 1 ear or £60 for both ears (if they are both done at the same appointment).
We offer a discounted rate (£25 for 1 ear or £40 for both) for patients who are 65 years old* and above.
*Proof of age may be required for patients paying the discounted rate.
During the appointment, our trained healthcare professionals will carry out an initial consultation of the ear(s) and will only proceed if it is appropriate to do so. You may be advised to return at a later date if following the consultation, it is deemed inappropriate to provide the service.
What our customers are saying...
I have used this pharmacy twice now for their ear syringe service and on both occasions, a very successful job was done. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I will highly recommend this pharmacy.
First time at this pharmacy (sic) and first time having ears syringed (sic), the staff were so welcoming and explained the procedure, totally painless and professionally carried out with brilliant results, thank you so much
I was very pleased with my visit to the pharmacy to have my ears syringed. I had not had it done before. The lady who attended to me was considerate and I'm pleased to say I now have full hearing in my right ear. The left ear was perfectly okay. Thank you so much
After 18 months of Covid restrictions, I was told that Midway Pharmacy offers an ear syringing service so I gave it a try. The online booking was easy and the ear syringing (sic) was done very professionally. All in all a first-class service.
The lady was brilliant. It didn’t take long, I am really pleased with the whole service.
Before your appointment…
It is important that the wax has been softened to make the procedure as effective as possible. We recommend using olive oil ear drops 2-4 times daily for 7 to 10 days prior to your appointment to soften the wax.
Avoid wearing your hearing aid(s) (if you wear one) after you put olive oil in your ears as you could damage them.
If you experience a foul taste after using olive oil, stop using it immediately and contact us or your GP as this could be a sign that there is a hole in your eardrum.
For more information, please contact your local Midway Pharmacy today or book an appointment online.
